PIRE is assisting Dunlap and Associates in this NHTSA funded evaluation to document the changes that took place in Utah as a result of lowering the BAC per se limit from .08 to .05, including documenting the legislative process and media coverage, and any changes in: Alcohol-related fatalities at various BACs; alcohol-related crashes; impaired driving arrests; convictions; driver behaviors; driver perceptions and attitudes toward drinking and driving; and impact on alcohol sales and tourism.
