Dr. Rebecca Hoffman received a PhD in Applied Social Psychology from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Most of her research has focused on health promotion through cognition and behavior change, as well as the mechanisms by which those changes occur. Some themes that show up in Dr. Hoffman’s past work are dietary behaviors, physical activity, substance use (e.g., alcohol, tobacco), and obesity stigma. Outside of academia, Dr. Hoffman has worked at organizations such as American Psychological Association and National Institutes of Health.
